Up, Down.
Roger Scruton - Gentle Regrets, Chapter 12, Regaining My Religion.
so I thouoght ... supermodel? I wonder whatever happened to Malana? and found these ...
she's 21 now, got a grandmother, a boyfriend, brasilians are liking her looks now and are calling her 'Boa Bunda'/nice ass ... ok, this is the world right? better than last year when they said she looked like a man ...
there's the thread eh? you give it a tug and the material begins to unravel ... Roger Scruton makes some points in Roger Scruton - An Intelligent Person's Guide to Philosophy, Chapter 10, SEX about subject/object splits (as long as we use the word 'split' we implicity acknowledge that something happened, right? that subject and object were not always, or maybe are not always divided?) ... this in a discussion of Sex by one of the few who seems to me to make sense when talking about sex ... and then perhaps one day someone comes along and reads this and says, "you sad old fuck, you are just xxx-ing yyy-ing zzz-ing whatever"
that would be a pleasant surprise :-)
some of what Scruton says reslonates with ol' Lennie Cone too:
I loved you when our love was blessed and I love you now there's nothing left but sorrow and a sense of overtime, and I missed you since the place got wrecked and I just don't care what happens next, looks like freedom but it feels like death - it's something in between, I guess it's closin' time.
