Corrigan gives more credit to the 'pipeline opposition' than I do - but I applaud his positive stance and ... he could be right. / The thing about the drought and the 'farmers' is that indeed there have been worse droughts (so it is a weak foundation for environmental action, but keep in mind too that the NYT article there has the narrow parochial focus typical of North American sensibilities - there are charts and numbers but it's not science, it's not even history really - just a local story), a-and the farmers are not stewards in any real sense anymore either (instead they are ®-®-Roundup-Ready™). / Nani's excellent thought: What if the bureaucrats (the funcionalismo who do nothing necessary anyway) were to go on strike ('greve' in Portuguese).
